Job Level

Mid-Level

As Account Executive, you run your own accounts at COdesign. You are a representative of the company in every room you enter and uphold its culture, values and name in every interaction. The accounts on your desk are usually smaller in billing or lighter in scope than those of the Account Manager, but the work is the same: hold the relationship, learn the client's business well enough to speak about it without notes, scope and brief the work, defend the work in the room, keep it moving on time and on margin. You turn every client conversation into something the company can act on, and you close every loop yourself. On the biggest commercial and strategic decisions you partner with the Line Manager and Senior Management. On everything else, these accounts are yours to run.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship

  • Own the day-to-day relationship on assigned accounts, being the client's first call and the one person who always knows the state of every live piece of work.
  • Learn each client's business properly: their category, their competitors, their commercial pressures, their internal politics and the aesthetic instincts of the people signing off the work.
  • Build trust with different levels and stakeholders inside the client's organization, not just the person on the brief, so a change of marketing head never means starting the relationship again.
  • Read the room. Notice when a client is under pressure and adjust the ask, the timing or the tone of a review accordingly.

Brief and Scope

  • Work with the client to shape the brief, asking the questions that get the objective, the audience, the constraint and the definition of success onto one page.
  • Write internal briefs that creatives actually want to open, with enough context that the team can design against something specific rather than guess.

Cross-team Coordination

  • Run the account across copy, design, other account team members, finance and management as needed, along with third-party partners and vendors as and when required. Keep every discipline briefed at the right moment rather than all at once.
  • Sequence feedback so that structural notes reach creatives before craft notes and craft notes before proofreading.
  • Protect thinking time. Book review windows that give the company enough room to produce a considered response, not a reactive one.
  • Coordinate with the Technology Division when a Creative Division account touches web, ecommerce or product and translate confidently in both directions.

Influencer and Production

  • Identify, select, brief and manage influencers that align with each client's audience and brand, ensuring campaigns resonate rather than tick a box.
  • Coordinate content production, including photoshoots, video shoots and creative asset generation, working with in-house teams and external production partners.
  • Manage influencer campaigns end to end, from concept and negotiation through to live posting and performance review.
  • Track influencer campaign performance and feed the insight into the next round.

Financial and Commercial

  • Own finance at the working level.
  • Prepare estimates and proposals to the company's standard, and work with the finance team on invoicing and billing.
  • Support the finance team on monthly reconciliation of billing against work delivered, and help chase overdue invoices.

Communication and Reporting

  • Write status notes and meeting summaries that a client could read in ninety seconds and know exactly where the account stands.
  • Keep the Line Manager briefed weekly on health, risk and opportunity, so escalations never come as a surprise.
  • Reply to clients within a working day, even if the reply is only to say when the answer is coming.

Presentation and Client Meetings

  • Run day-to-day client meetings on your accounts with a clear agenda, a defined outcome and a written follow-up within twenty-four hours. On larger reviews and senior meetings, the Account Manager or Line Manager leads and you present your part of the work.
  • Present alongside creatives, walking the client through the thinking and the craft. On the heavier commercial and strategic conversations, the Line Manager holds the room.
  • Land everyday difficult conversations with grace: timeline slips, round delays, change requests, feedback going back to the company and feedback going back to the client.

Process and Admin

  • Keep project trackers, timesheets, meeting notes and folder structures in order. The next person to open the file should understand the account in ten minutes.
  • Use Runway and Runtime rigorously for self and team management, along with any other tools the company runs. No selective use.
  • Run a tidy handover when work is passed to production or another team so nothing gets lost in the seam.

Required Expertise and Skills

  • Prior experience in a client-facing, coordination or operations role at a design, branding, advertising or marketing company, including internships, student agency work or a first job in the industry.
  • Written and spoken English strong enough that clients from local groups and international brands would take the company seriously in the same room. Fluent Bangla for the local half of the portfolio.
  • Craft literacy across branding, editorial, packaging, campaign and content. Not the ability to design, but the ability to see why a piece is right or wrong and articulate it.
  • Comfort with budgets and estimates. Numbers are part of the job, not someone else's.
  • The judgement to know when to escalate and when to decide. Bringing every problem up is as bad as bringing none.
  • Calm under real pressure. Difficult clients, tight timelines and awkward feedback loops handled without dramatizing them internally.
  • Proficient with modern project management tools, Google Workspace and any CRM the company runs.
  • Character. Discreet with sensitive information. Straight with colleagues. Warm with clients without being sycophantic.

Bonus Skills

  • Working knowledge of Technology Division vocabulary: web, mobile, e-commerce and SaaS enough to hold a scoping conversation with a technical lead without translation.
  • A network in Dhaka's marketing, brand and production community that brings the company warm introductions, including a working relationship with the local influencer landscape.
  • Personal taste in design, film, editorial or product strong enough that creatives respect the person defending their work in the client's room.
